Emergency Electrical Services

Some electrical problems can wait for an appointment. Others are telling you something is actively wrong right now. We offer emergency electrical service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for the second kind.

*If you see fire, smoke, or a downed power line, call 911 first. For a downed line, stay well clear and call the utility. Then call us.

Call Us Immediately For

  • A burning smell at an outlet, switch, or the panel
  • Scorch marks, melted plastic, or discoloration around a device
  • Sparking, arcing, or a loud buzzing from the panel
  • A breaker that trips instantly every time you reset it
  • Outlets, switches, or the panel that are hot to the touch
  • Water that has reached wiring, outlets, or the panel
  • A partial outage when the neighbors still have power
  • Storm or tree damage to the service mast or incoming lines

What to Do While You Wait

If you can safely reach the panel, shut off the affected circuit, or the main if the problem is widespread. Do not keep resetting a breaker that will not hold, because the breaker is doing its job and telling you something. Stay away from anything hot, wet, or sparking.

When you call, describe what you are seeing and smelling as precisely as you can. That is what tells us whether this is a wait-for-morning situation or one where we head out now, and we will give you that answer honestly rather than selling you a midnight call you do not need.

After the Emergency

Making the house safe tonight and fixing the underlying cause are often two different jobs. We will do the first immediately and tell you plainly what the second involves, with an estimate, before you commit to anything — whether that turns out to be a panel change, rewiring, or a simple repair.
