EV Charger Installation
Charging at home turns an electric vehicle from a planning exercise into something you plug in at night and forget about. We install home charging equipment for homeowners around Leland, from the breaker in the panel to the unit on the garage wall.
A standard household outlet will technically charge a car, extremely slowly. A dedicated circuit is what makes home charging practical, and it has to be sized and protected for the specific charger you are using.
What an Installation Includes
- Checking whether your panel has capacity for a charging circuit
- Installing a dedicated circuit and breaker sized to your charger
- Running the circuit to the garage, driveway, or carport
- Mounting and connecting the charging unit
- Permit and inspection where required
- Testing the finished installation before we hand it over
Capacity Comes First
The most common surprise with EV chargers is the panel. A charging circuit is a substantial continuous load, and plenty of homes are already close to their limit before a car enters the picture. We check that before anything else, because finding out partway through is the expensive way to learn it.
If the panel does not have room, that does not mean home charging is off the table. It means a panel change or service upgrade comes first, and we handle that too. Either way you get the full scope and the price before the work begins.
